Kate Peddicord is a nonfiction filmmaker pulling inspiration from her background in anthropology and psychology. Applying ethnographic modes of knowledge production and ways of seeing to contemporary documentary practices, Kate hopes to find new ways of storytelling driven by spontaneity rather than form. Inspired by a course taken with Open City Docs, she is interested in blurring the line between fiction and reality and desires to implement this technique in her future work as well as to further challenge the boundaries of the visual genre. She is currently completing her MFA in Creative Documentary by Practice at UCL in London.
